Started in 1992; the group started with Pelican Investments, the residential property company, this expanded rapidly.
In 1996 Pelican Marketing was set up. We have a few funny stories about that company. It is not true that Jonny Hooker use to work for us, but the story about the shoes on the motorway is true!
1998 saw Pelican Magazines and the expansion into publishing. The company was set up to purchase Orthopaedic Product News. You can find out more about Pelican Magazines in the ‘About’ section of Pelican Magazines’ web site.
In 2000 we started Pelican Holdings and a move into commercial property and property development.
Our group strategy has always been to balance long term low reward/ risk investments with higher reward/risk investments to create a blend that will generate acceptable returns over the long term in most economic conditions.
